What This Policy Covers
This page lists the cookies and similar browser-storage technologies OnlineDraft uses on its marketing site and web application. It is a supplement to our Privacy Policy. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or social-media tracking cookies. We do not sell or share information collected through cookies with any third party for advertising.
Browser Storage vs. Cookies
Most of what would traditionally be a cookie is actually stored as localStorage in your browser by OnlineDraft. Your login session, cached profile data (with a 30-minute expiry), and UI preferences live in localStorage rather than in cookies. This information stays on your device and is sent to OnlineDraft only when your browser makes an authenticated request.
Cookies We Do Use
The cookies you may see when using OnlineDraft fall into the following narrow categories:
- Essential / functional cookies — set by our infrastructure (AWS CloudFront, AWS Cognito) during sign-in flows, including the brief redirect cycle when you sign in with Google or Apple. These are required for the Service to work and are not used to track you across other sites.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<id> to give us aggregate, de-identified counts of pageviews and feature usage. We have not enabled GA4's advertising features and IP anonymization is applied where supported.
- Strictly transient cookies — short-lived cookies set during OAuth redirect flows (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In). These exist only during the seconds it takes to complete authentication.
Cookies We Do Not Use
OnlineDraft does not use advertising or marketing cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, retargeting tags, social-media share/tracking pixels, or any "interest-based advertising" technologies. If you see a cookie from another company while using OnlineDraft, please contact us at support@onlinedraft.com so we can investigate.
Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Each major browser has its own controls:
- Google Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies
- Apple Safari: Settings → Privacy → Cookies and website data
- Mozilla Firefox: about:preferences#privacy
- Microsoft Edge: edge://settings/privacy
Opting Out of Google Analytics
If you do not want Google Analytics to set cookies in your browser, you can install Google's official opt-out browser add-on, available from Google. Alternatively, blocking third-party cookies or using a tracker-blocking extension will prevent GA4 from collecting data about your visit. The Service will continue to work normally if you opt out.
If You Disable Cookies
Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or staying signed in. Disabling analytics cookies has no functional impact on the Service. We do not show a cookie banner because we do not use non-essential cookies that require pre-consent under U.S. law; if you visit from a jurisdiction that requires consent for analytics cookies (such as the EU/UK), you can block analytics cookies through your browser or a tracker blocker before continuing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will also be reflected in our Privacy Policy.
